American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with experience in patient evaluation and care planning for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
- Patient evaluation and treatment for various conditions per physician referral or direct access
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Supervision of physical therapy assistants and technicians
- Use of exercise equipment and physical therapy modalities
- Duties include patient evaluation, development of care plans, and progress updates to referral sources
- Involvement in post-offer testing such as WorkSTEPS or APET and Return to Work planning
- Strong communication skills required for coordinating with nurses, physicians, and insurers
- May participate in marketing, community events, or business development activities
- Expected to assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and referrals as needed
- Current Physical Therapist license in good standing required if applicable
- Recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Ability to supervise and delegate to PT assistants and technicians
- Competency in therapy modalities, exercise equipment, and ergonomic/job analysis evaluation
- Familiarity with performing Functional Capacity Evaluations and Work Hardening Evaluations
