Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years of experience, ARRT and BLS certification, and a valid CA license for variable 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is at an acute care hospital in the X-Ray department
• Daily caseload averages 30-35 scans per shift
• 4x10 hour variable shifts with shift times including 0400, 0600, 0700, 0900, 1300, 1800, and 2000
• Shifts are self-scheduled with preference by seniority, but specific shift requests are not guaranteed
• No call required
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend and a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to meet unit and facility needs
• All travelers must be able to float between all facilities within the state
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Free parking is available for staff
• First-time travelers are considered for this assignment
• Floating between facilities and departments within scope is mandatory
• Must complete online modules pre-start and annually; average 16 hours required
• Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and extensive requests may affect offer status
• Staff must wear appropriate hospital-approved scrubs according to department specifications
• Commitment to good attendance and schedule flexibility is expected
• Holiday coverage is mandatory for at least 3 out of 5 major holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of X-ray technologist experience required
• ARRT and BLS certifications required
• Valid CA state license required (pending or temporary licenses not accepted); license required if applicable
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts and commit to working at least 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• References from 2 supervisory contacts covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius for travel pay eligibility; local candidates accepted at a different rate
• Return staff can be considered after a 3-month waiting period
