Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a variable day shift assignment, requiring at least one year of recent acute care experience and active CA credentials.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a hospital-based nuclear medicine department
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Saturday with variable start times between 8:00 am and 11:00 am
  • Rosters may include research PET scans using investigational ligands with limited isotope availability
  • No CT certification required for this position
  • Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience required
  • PET experience preferred
  • Duties may include performing nuclear medicine scans and research PET procedures
  • No blocked or self-scheduling allowed
  • Return staff must be gone at least one year prior to new assignment
  • No RTO (requested time off) permitted within the first two weeks; maximum of seven days RTO per contract is preferred, and all RTO must be finalized at the time of scheduling
  • Modules must be completed pre-start and are self-reported
  • Locals accepted at the same rate
  • Scrub or dress code policy will be provided during orientation
Requirements
  • Active, valid CA State License in-hand when applying (license required if applicable)
  • One or more years of recent experience in acute care nuclear medicine
  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT (N) and CNMT or NMTCB certifications required
  • ARRT (R) certification preferred
  • Cerner charting experience required and must be noted in work history
  • Two supervisory references from the last two years required
  • Successful completion of a pass/fail EKG exam within three attempts
