- Shift: Evenings (primarily 12p–8:30p; may shift based on cases/volume)
- Shift Length: 8 hours
- Estimated Hours: 40 hrs/week + required call
- Drive Time to Closest Big City: Already a major metro (within 2 hrs to San Francisco)
Contract Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Length: 14 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8s
- Call: Required (EOW, holidays, overnight call during the week, 30-min response time)
- Weekend Requirement: Call only (no in-house staff)
- Holidays: Traveler must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
- Floating: Stays within MET; no outside facility floating
- Orientation: 1–2 days in PACU with preceptor
- RTO: Holiday RTO may be considered, but not guaranteed
- Cancellation Policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 1 prior travel assignment
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Must be able to read/interpret EKG strips
- Dysrhythmia exam (Relias) required prior to acceptance – pass/fail with 2 attempts
- Flexible and dependable; must be willing to adjust shifts and cover call outs
- Two supervisory references required (one within 12 months, one within 3 years)
