American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool position requiring a CO or compact RN license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a float pool with assignments across Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- Float to any participating locations within a 60-mile radius in the designated float zone
- Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry cases
- Requires 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week
- Epic EMR is used and experience is required
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and patient/family education
- May float to multiple locations and assignments may include duties outside the original skillset per policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season, with only medical exemptions permitted
- No local travelers are accepted for this position
- Active CO or compact RN license in hand; no pending licenses accepted
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- At least one year of recent RN experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR is required
- Must reside more than 60 miles from all float zone locations
