Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics night shift position requiring a CO or compact RN license and 1 year of specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based role on the acute Orthopedics unit
- Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
- 13-week contract assignment
- Care for post-operative and orthopedic surgical patients
- Epic EMR used in the unit
- May be required to float to other departments within competency and qualifications
- On-call may be required during scheduled shifts
- Duties include independent and delegated nursing functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for orthopedic patients
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and support for recovery and rehabilitation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to monitor therapy and treatment plans
- Applicants should allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screening process
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- ASN or higher from an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Ortho experience required
- BLS certification from AHA required, must remain valid throughout assignment
- EPIC charting experience required
- Certification appropriate to the unit or service is preferred
