Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital with at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Night shifts with a 4x10-hour schedule from 22:00 to 08:30
  • Assignments in adult acute care, adult and pediatric outpatient, emergency department, and Level I trauma settings
  • Patient population includes infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
  • Procedures performed include abdominal, pelvic, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal trauma CT scans, as well as vascular CTA and special procedures
  • Experience with GE, Philips, and Toshiba CT equipment and PACS required
  • Charting is completed in Cerner, prior experience required
  • Every other weekend required
  • No floating outside of primary assignment or on-call required
  • Responsibilities include performing a wide range of CT studies including trauma, special procedures, and working with a diverse patient population
  • Works collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment within a teaching hospital
  • Scrub/dress code follows hospital policy
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Return staff must have a 1-year separation from the hospital
  • Public transportation is available and parking is at employee expense
  • One pre-approved time off request is allowed per contract
  • ICU/NICU coverage and portables/C-Arm experience beneficial

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year recent CT experience in an acute care setting
  • ARRT (CT) and ARRT(R) certifications required
  • BLS certification required
  • Level I Trauma hospital experience required
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Experience performing CT procedures with and without contrast and starting peripheral IVs
  • License required if applicable
  • COVID-19 vaccination required per facility guidelines
