Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a home health position requiring at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities
  • Home health setting providing skilled visits to adult patients
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Patient caseload includes med/surg, cardiac, ortho, post-surgical, neuro, respiratory, and complex rehabilitation cases
  • Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
  • Home visits average 6-8 per day, with a minimum of 6 points per day as determined by the manager
  • Use of laptop, MiFi for internet access, and portable printers is provided
  • Documentation completed using BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet systems
  • Provide skilled OT services including ADL training, cardiac rehab, orthopedic rehab, prosthetics/orthotics, standardized assessments, and home exercise programs
  • Educate patients and families on safety, injury prevention, and functional independence
  • Responsible for evaluation, billing, and documentation of all visits
  • Work with diverse patient population including ortho, trauma, cardiac, neuro, and respiratory diagnoses
  • Solid color scrubs are required
  • Support provided with remote access equipment for documentation
  • Work is performed independently in patients' homes
Requirements
  • Current state Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of home health Occupational Therapy experience; 2 years preferred
  • Must be able to practice independently
  • OASIS training preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable car required
  • COVID vaccination or approved exemption required
  • Flu vaccination required or declination with mandatory mask use
