- Number of Beds – 8 Labor, 14 Postpartum, 3 EDOB and 2 OR
- Number of Staff – Labor Core Staffing 4, Postpartum Core Staffing 1 (varies with census)
- Type of staff:
- Day Shift – 1 CNC, 1 Triage, 2 RN, 1-2 OB Scrub Tech
- Night Shift - 1 CNC, 1 Triage, 2 RN, 1 OB Scrub Tech
- Patient Ratios – Labor: 1-2:1, Postpartum: 3-4 couplets:1 RN
- Type of equipment – EFM, FSE, IUPC, SCDs, IV pumps, Medication scanning, Supply scanning
- EMR – CPN and Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring/C-EFM (for Labor and Delivery)
- Competence in cervical exams
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
- Previous Labor and Delivery Experience
- Magnesium Therapy Experience (Postpartum)
