Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Outpatient Speech-Language Pathologist with solid competency in pediatric care and ASHA certification for a hospital-based travel assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an outpatient pediatric setting within a hospital
  • Works with pediatric patients, including those with neurologically impaired conditions
  • Typical cases include speech disorders, language delays, apraxia, stuttering, AAC device needs, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
  • 4x12 hour day shifts, totaling 48 hours per week
  • Multidisciplinary team environment including OT, PT, ST, and local providers
  • Epic is the EMR used and Epic experience is required
  • Client does not accept local candidates and enforces a 50-mile radius restriction
  • Duties involve assessment, planning, and delivery of rehabilitative treatment to meet communicative needs
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential
  • Position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Must be competent in meeting the age-specific needs of pediatric patients
  • Candidate is expected to comply with state licensing requirements

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology is required
  • Certification with the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) is required
  • Current State of Idaho Speech-Language Pathologist licensure or temporary SLP Provisional Permit is required (License required if applicable)
  • At least 1 year of experience with pediatric neurologically impaired patient population
  • Experience with evaluation and treatment of pediatric speech and language disorders, apraxia, stuttering, AAC devices, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders
  • Epic charting experience required
