Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT(CT) and IEMA licensure, and proficiency with Siemens CT equipment and EPIC EMR.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a short-term acute care hospital working in the CT Tech unit
• Shift is 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; weekends as needed
• No on-call required
• Average daily census of 150 with a typical staffing ratio of 1:2
• Will provide support in the ER department and may float within the service line or to affiliated hospitals as needed
• Must work with Siemens CT equipment
• EPIC is the charting system used; experience is preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Primary duties include performing CT scans and supporting the ER department alongside other CT and X-ray staff
• Expect collaboration with the emergency and imaging teams
• Holiday and every other weekend coverage is required
• Must be willing to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• RTO is limited to one request of up to 7 days within a 13-week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• Fit testing is required; facial hair must allow for proper mask fitting
• Travelers can stay for up to 18 months with a 3-month break required after
• Allied travelers may remain for 12 months before a 6-month break

Requirements

• Current ARRT(CT) certification and Illinois IEMA state license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required
• Experience with Siemens CT machines
• BLS preferred
• Experience working with EPIC EMR is preferred
• Previous permanent employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• No local candidates within a 75-mile radius
• No first-time travelers will be considered
