Schedule & Call Requirements

• Shift: Days
• On-Call Rotation:
  • 2 weeknights per week
  • 6 weekends per 13-week contract period
  • Includes holiday call as needed

Position Description

The RN will function in a Cardiac Cath Lab environment and is responsible for direct patient care using critical thinking and nursing judgment within a high-acuity cardiovascular setting.

Core Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluations
• Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
• Document accurately per system/entity standards
• Collaborate in developing and executing individualized patient care plans
• Support patient/family education
• Participate in unit-based performance improvement and shared governance
• Apply critical thinking for patient safety and system solutions
• Engage in peer review and professional development

🎓 Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• At least 1 year of critical care experience
• Cardiovascular intervention experience required
• Experience in high-acuity hospital settings
• Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills

🧾 Licenses & Certifications

• Current IL RN license (IDFPR)
• CPR (BLS) – required
• ACLS – required
• PALS – required
• NIHSS Certification – required
• Must pass EKG test prior to completing orientation

• Must be adaptable to high-pressure, fast-paced Cath Lab environment
