American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg inpatient overflow unit night shift, requiring IL RN license, Level 1 Trauma, and Epic experience.
Responsibilities- Position is based in the inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting
- Direct care for a diverse adult patient population
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Five shifts per week, 40 hours per week
- Care is provided in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Use of Epic EMR is required
- Nurse is responsible for comprehensive assessments, implementing and updating patient care plans, and ensuring accurate documentation
- Must promptly respond to patient call lights and effectively use critical thinking to manage changing patient conditions
- May delegate and validate completion of care tasks to other unit staff as appropriate
- A positive attitude and participation in interdisciplinary collaboration are expected
- No local candidates; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Requested time off must not exceed 7 days within a 13-week contract
- Candidates may not work continuously at this facility for more than one year without conversion or a 6-month break
- No travel partners accepted
- Active IL RN license in good standing, temporary licenses accepted
- Minimum of one year of relevant Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Documented Level 1 Trauma experience
- Proven experience with Epic charting is required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
