Position Overview
Community Health Network is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join their OB unit (LDRP model, Level 3). Nurses will support high-risk/antepartum patients and provide comprehensive obstetric care including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years Labor & Delivery
- Must be able to circulate own C-section.
- Certifications (Required): BLS, NRP.
- Certifications (Preferred): ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate.
- Charting: Epic preferred.
- Locals: Not accepted (must live 50+ miles from all CHN facilities).
Unit Details
- Beds/Rooms: 60
- Daily Census: 41 mothers, 32 babies
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults
- Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
- Float: Rare, to NICU as helping hands only
- Holiday Coverage: Required (major holidays observed)
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Scrub Color: Seal Blue
Skills
- Fetal monitoring (including abnormal heart rate recognition)
- Circulating for C-section and assisting vaginal delivery
- Antepartum triage and care
- Postpartum care (vaginal and cesarean)
- IV therapy and phlebotomy
- Isolation precautions/PPE use
Pay & Benefits
- OT Multiplier: 1.35x after 40 hours/week
- Holiday/Callback: 1.5x
- Charge Nurse Differential: +$5/hour
- Parking: Free
Facility Support Services
- IV teams, respiratory, PT, social services, lift teams, RRT, pharmacy, radiology, interpretation, transportation.
