Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an inpatient Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute outpatient experience and an active Kentucky or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient physical therapy role covering outpatient acute care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) settings
- Location requires candidates to reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Shift is typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility for either 8 or 9 hour days
- Weekly rotation of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next is expected
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
- Primary duties include providing therapy services across outpatient, SNF, and LTACH units
- Assignment confirmation must be provided within 24 hours of accepting an offer
- Travel pairs are not permitted except under special unit circumstances
- Requests for time off must be included on the coversheet
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must follow updated licensing and submission requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient physical therapy experience in an acute care setting required
- Active Kentucky or compact PT license required; license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Submission must include a copy of a valid driver’s license
- At least two professional references required
- No gaps in work history for consideration
