Travel RN Job Summary (Maine) Credentials & Requirements: Licensing & Certifications Active Maine RN license or Compact State license Certifications (must be current & unexpired): BLS (Required) ACLS (Preferred) Immunizations (Required): Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer Hepatitis B – 3 doses or titer (declination accepted) MMR – 2 doses or positive titer Tdap – Up to date PPD (Tuberculosis) – 2-step or titer within past 12 months Influenza vaccine – Required during flu season Agency Requirements: W-9 Certificate of Insurance (COI) Workers’ Compensation Liability Coverage: $1M/$3M Day 1 Instructions: Report to Human Resources for onboarding. Preferred Qualifications: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) Critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in age-appropriate nursing assessments and interventions Job Responsibilities: Includes but is not limited to: Initial and ongoing patient assessments Development & implementation of individualized care plans Accurate documentation of patient care Administration and evaluation of medications Patient/family education and discharge planning Participation in bedside rounds and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings Ensure safety and proper equipment function Emergency preparedness and participation in disaster drills Quality improvement and process optimization efforts Follow-up calls to discharged patients
