Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN - OR)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with Operating Room experience for a critical role in our healthcare team. This position includes both day and night shifts, requiring flexibility and commitment. The RN will play a crucial role in patient care, ensuring optimal surgical outcomes and patient safety.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: 4x10 Hours (07:00 - 17:00)
• Night Shift: 4x10 Hours (17:30 - 07:30)

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
• Charge Experience: Preferred
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Charting System Experience: Required (Epic)
• Community Hospital Experience: Preferred
• Certifications: BLS, CNOR preferred
• Skills:
  • Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion
  • Laparoscopic Assisted Procedures
  • Trauma Response
  • Patient Assessment and Monitoring
  • Skill in various surgical procedures (including but not limited to: Appendectomy, Craniotomy, Cystoscopy, etc.)

Scheduling & Call Requirements

• Minimum of 1 weekend per month
• 36 hours of on-call required every 6 weeks

Facility Details

Our facility caters to a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, providing a mix of surgical services with a focus on quality care. The daily census allows for significant personal attention to each patient.

Patient Care Team Support

The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Social Services to ensure a high standard of care and comprehensive support for all surgical patients.

• Active MD or Compact License required at time of submission
• References: 2 satisfactory professional references (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN)
• Candidates must be located 50 miles or more from the facility
