Job DescriptionThe Oncology RN will provide care in a MS/Tele-Oncology unit. The role requires experience in the oncology specialty and the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6. The position is suitable for first-time travelers, and applicants should be comfortable floating within the specialty and lower acuity as needed.
Responsibilities- Administer medications and chemotherapy under established guidelines.
- Monitor patients for side effects and complications related to oncology treatments.
- Provide patient and family education and support regarding treatment plans.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing.
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; ACLS and chemotherapy certifications preferred.
- Active RN license required.
