Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Night and Mid Shift Opportunities
Position OverviewJoin a dedicated team at a premier healthcare facility in Maryland as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN). We are seeking highly skilled nurses with a focus on patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is a 20-26 week assignment that will continue into January, with an earliest end date of January 10. Ideal candidates will possess a strong skill set and experience in emergency care.
Shifts Available- Night Shift: 3x12 Hours (19:00 - 07:30)
- Mid Shift: 3x12 Hours (15:00 - 03:30)
- Provide high-quality patient care in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department.
- Effectively manage critical situations and perform necessary interventions.
- Administer medications, including IV therapy and emergency medications.
- Participate in the triage process and assess patient conditions accurately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
- Current MD RN License.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH certifications required; CPI certification to be obtained during onboarding.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in emergency settings.
- Previous charge experience is required.
- Travel experience is preferred.
- Strong skills in various emergency scenarios, including trauma, respiratory emergencies, and behavioral health crises.
- Unit features a daily census of approximately 90 patients.
- 32 exam rooms and 36 beds available for patient care.
- Float among 4 other ED locations as needed.
- Every other weekend and holiday commitment expected.
Orientation hours are 24, with a compliance document deadline of 5 days prior to the start of the assignment. References from recent employers are required, including one supervisor or manager and one charge RN. Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible.
