Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 20-26 week assignment in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department. Shifts include rotating evening and night schedules with potential acceptance of 36-48 hours per week. This position is ideal for travelers looking to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications, including emergency medications, and perform advanced medical procedures as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting using the Epic system.
• Float within the specialty and to other sister facilities as needed.
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday shifts as required.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience with previous charge experience required.
• Certifications: Current MD RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certification (on-site during onboarding).
• Skillset: Must possess strong clinical skills including but not limited to: managing difficult behaviors, performing intubation, administering IVs, and interpreting ECGs.
• Patient Care: Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1 during shifts.

The facility is recognized as a STEMI and Stroke Certified Emergency Department with a daily census of approximately 90 patients. It features 36 beds and provides care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

• Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Mid Shift: 3x12-Hour (15:00 - 03:30)
• Every other weekend and holidays required.
