Position: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Weekend Position) Schedule: Weekend position – third day may be Friday or Monday, based on departmental needs Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department RN to join our team. This weekend-based position offers flexibility, with the third shift scheduled on either Friday or Monday depending on the needs of the department. The Emergency Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive care to patients experiencing urgent or critical conditions, as well as those seeking treatment for non-urgent medical concerns. Key responsibilities include triaging patients, providing ongoing assessments, initiating immediate interventions, and delivering discharge education. Patient Population: Care is provided across a diverse patient population including prenatal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The nurse must demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with individuals of varying intellectual and physical abilities. Responsibilities: Triage and prioritize patient care based on clinical urgency Deliver immediate and appropriate nursing interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and families Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately Requirements: Active Massachusetts RN License (MA RN License) BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) Certification
