Shift Details:

• Evenings (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)

• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours guaranteed

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• On Call: None

Position Summary:
The Behavioral Health RN provides direct patient care in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This role is responsible for assessing care needs, developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The RN serves as a clinical leader, providing direction to licensed and non-licensed staff, while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach aligned with the mission and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.

• Provide and coordinate nursing care with physicians and the care team.

• Communicate and educate patients’ families/significant others regarding care and discharge planning.

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.

• Document and report patient information per policies and standards.

• Function as a clinical leader by delegating, coordinating assignments, and supporting staff development.

• Promote recovery-focused, person-centered care.

• Ensure compliance with care protocols, standards of practice, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of inpatient behavioral health experience – Required

• BLS (AHA) – Required

• Charge nurse experience – Preferred
