Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring recent ICU experience, ACLS/BLS certification, and licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in the ICU with both ICU and IMC patient populations
- Monitor telemetry for the hospital as part of ICU responsibilities
- Paragon/Allscripts used for acute care charting, T-System used in the ED
- 12-hour variable shifts including nights (3x12, 19:00–07:30)
- Required to float to MS/Tele, IMC, and possibly Emergency Department
- First to float to inpatient units as staffing needs arise
- Every other weekend shift required
- Bedside shift reporting, use of AIDET protocols, and hourly rounding are mandatory
- Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor
- Modules and orientation provided, to be completed during onboarding
- Participation in natural disaster or emergency response activities may be required
- Not accepting local candidates within a 60-mile radius
- Travelers may not work at this facility as a traveler for more than one year consecutively and must take a one-year break before returning
- Holiday requests limited to one day if multiple holidays fall during the contract
Requirements
- Active RN license in MI is required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
- PALS certification preferred
- Fingerprinting required for compliance
- Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
