Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week acute care and outpatient contract requiring AHA BLS and Michigan licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in acute care hospital with float to outpatient clinic setting
- Treat both inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan, including pediatric to geriatric patients
- Primary patient populations include orthopedic post-op (TKA, THA, TSA) and outpatient neuro cases
- 8-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities one weekend per month
- Travelers may be placed on call during low census periods
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation
- Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and developing care plans according to Physical Therapy standards of practice
- Documentation must meet regulatory and reimbursement requirements
- Professional, casual attire is required; no specific scrub color
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Team seeks resilient, adaptable, and socially engaging candidates
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy required
- Active Michigan PT license required if applicable
- AHA BLS certification required
- NPI number required or willingness to obtain
- New graduates will be considered
- Must be able to adapt to both inpatient and outpatient caseloads
