Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role requiring a Michigan RN license, two years of ED experience, and current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities
  • Position is based in the Emergency Department
  • Works with a diverse, acute care patient population presenting to the ED
  • 12-hour night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, three days per week
  • Every other weekend shift required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
  • Uses Cerner EMR with prior experience required
  • Responsible for coordinating and delivering high quality, compassionate care through all phases of the nursing process in the ED
  • Required to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
  • Must participate in problem-solving for patient care and help implement solutions
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • Required to work at least one holiday during the assignment
  • Online training modules must be completed onsite prior to start date
  • Up to one week of requested time off allowed if communicated in advance
Requirements
  • Active MI RN license required
  • Minimum two years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Ability to complete online modules and achieve passing scores prior to start
  • Proficiency with Cerner charting system required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
