Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years OB/L&D (Postpartum + Peds required)
  • Licensure: Active MN RN license (or willing to apply for temp + perm within 24 hrs of offer)
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (AHA) – required
    • ACLS (AHA) – required
    • NRP – required
    • PALS – preferred
  • EMR: Epic (list alternatives if no Epic)
  • Float Requirement: Must float to Med-Surg & Tele (travelers float first per union contract)
  • Locals: Within 80 miles = local rate (–$8/hr reg & OT)
  • Agency: Must have SNSA certification (upload proof)
Duties & Patient Care
  • Care for:
    • Postpartum, antepartum, Peds, newborns, GYN, Med-Surg overflow
    • May act as 2nd RN in SCN
  • Procedures/Skills: Labor, PP, Nursery, Peds
  • Equipment: Epic One Chart, Acudose, Philips vitals, bladder scanner, Medula breast pumps, Responder 5 call light, Medfusion pumps
Patient Ratios / Census
  • Average census: 5 couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, 4 SCN
  • Ratios:
    • 1:3 mom/baby couplets
    • 1:5 GYN/Med-Surg
    • 1:3–4 pediatrics
  • Support Staff: Ward clerk (days), CNA (Tue/Thu), Charge RN, Resource RN, LPN Scrub (no assignments)
Other Details
  • Must badge in/out at facility
  • Orientation: Equipment + unit orientation on day 1
  • Manager interviews directly (provide interview times in submission)
  • Sanford policy: If previously employed, must have 6+ months since end date
  • Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel up to 12 hours per 13 weeks
