Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a MO or compact license and 2 years ER experience.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care hospital Emergency Department
- Night shift schedule (3x12s) from 18:30 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to affiliate locations within the service line (Farmington and Bonne Terre)
- Care for a diverse emergency patient population including trauma and critical care cases
- Utilizes EPIC charting system with experience preferred
- Navy scrubs required
- Must provide care for acute medical and trauma emergencies
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year after employment before returning as travelers
- No local candidates permitted within the 75-mile radius
- Up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per 13-week contract, not during first week
- 18-month maximum contract period for travelers, with a required 3-month break before returning
- Face fit testing required; facial hair must allow for proper fit
- Pre-employment modules required for onboarding
- Parking is provided at no cost
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- First-time travelers accepted only with at least 2 years in a Level 1 Trauma Center and appropriate skills
- Certifications required: ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Experience with central lines, transvenous pacemakers, and chest tubes required
- Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Pending MO or compact license accepted for consideration
- Must provide SSN and DOB for compliance
