Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of inpatient and outpatient experience and BLS certification for a Level IV acute care hospital assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital setting with 24-hour emergency care and an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility
- Serve patients in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation units
- Typical patient ratio is 1:6
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required
- Uses Cerner for hospital charting and PointClickCare in long-term care
- Free staff parking and housing available
- Responsibilities include therapeutic assessment and interventions for inpatient and outpatient rehab patients
- Work directly with a multidisciplinary team in a Level IV trauma environment
- Orientation occurs during the first two weeks; no RTO during orientation and RTO is limited to one week afterwards
- No specific scrub color required, but must follow the dress code policy
- Travel pairs accepted and local candidates are eligible for consideration
- Facility provides free housing for travelers
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Physical Therapist in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state PT license or Compact License required; pending licenses not accepted but compact licenses are accepted
- Experience with Cerner preferred
- No first-time travelers will be considered
