American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and an active state license for a hospital-based day shift position.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency services and an attached skilled extended care facility
- Serve a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 in the SLP Acute Care Hospital unit
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekends or on-call requirements
- Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Cerner is used for charting and prior Cerner experience is preferred
- Locals are accepted and there is no radius restriction
- Position does not accommodate first-time travelers
- Dress code permits any color scrubs
- Free hospital housing is available to travelers
- Parking is free for staff
- Only one request for time off is permitted per contract, with a maximum of one week and no time off allowed in the first two weeks due to orientation
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Active state Speech Language Pathology license required if applicable; pending licenses are accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- FEES, LSVT, and SLP-CF certifications are preferred
- Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required
