Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for outpatient and inpatient coverage requiring 2 years of recent PT experience and a state license.

Responsibilities
  • Work primarily in outpatient physical therapy with occasional inpatient coverage as needed
  • Acute care hospital setting with 24-hour emergency care and attached skilled care facility
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (5x8 shifts)
  • Patient ratio is typically 1:6
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
  • Cerner is used for hospital charting and PointClickCare in extended care facility
  • Compact license accepted; free hospital housing is available for travelers
  • Responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients across both outpatient and inpatient settings
  • No weekend coverage is required for this M-F position
  • RTO is restricted during the first two weeks due to orientation, with a maximum of one week of RTO allowed
  • Scrub color is flexible per facility dress code policy
  • Free parking is available on site
  • Hospital-provided housing is offered to travelers
  • Travel pairs are accepted
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient and inpatient setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Active state physical therapy license required; compact license accepted
  • Cerner experience preferred
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • License required if applicable
