Cardiac Nurse - PM Shift

Morristown, NJ

This is a 13-week contract position.

PM Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Nurse with experience in managing patients with cardiac conditions. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality care while following established protocols and standards.

• Collect health history data from patients and families, completing admission assessments within the acceptable time frame.
• Notify consults when admitting criteria has been identified and complete Braden scale assessments.
• Create and continually update an individualized, age-appropriate plan of care in consultation with patients and families.
• Evaluate patient needs and initiate appropriate nursing actions to address those needs.
• Document patient responses to interventions, medications, and treatments accurately and timely.
• Facilitate patient education and discharge planning from the time of admission through discharge.
• Manage telemetry monitoring, interpret telemetry strips, and follow chest pain protocols as needed.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families upon unit admission.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current NJ Registered Nurse License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
