Job Description

The CT Technologist will showcase professionalism and service excellence while performing various tasks, including patient interaction and technical responsibilities in computed tomography imaging. This role emphasizes the importance of patient care, safety, and compliance with hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures following established protocols.
• Maintain the sterility of the field and instruments.
• Prepare requisitions accurately and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Verify patient identification in accordance with AHS policies.
• Observe and report any changes in patient conditions before and after contrast injections.
• Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
• Maintain adequate linen and contrast media supplies in scanning rooms.
• Assist in daily inventory and stocking of supplies and notify the Lead of expired items.
• Participate in the routine cleaning of the CT equipment and rooms.
• Perform tasks as Point to triage procedures and coordinate workflow effectively in emergency situations.
• Assess patients' ability to tolerate contrast and screen for allergies or medication incompatibilities.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions and adhere to QA/QC requirements.
• Communicate promptly with radiologists regarding unusual findings or emergency cases.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from an accredited institution.
• ARRT RT (R) certification.
• ARRT RT (CT) certification.
• New Jersey State X-Ray License.
• BLS Certification.
