Registered Nurse (RN) - Perioperative

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of patient care across all stages of growth and development, from pediatric to geriatric. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment Skills: Conduct thorough, systematic, and comprehensive patient assessments to provide appropriate care.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate proficient clinical skills, delivering direct patient care and supporting team objectives.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records while adhering to documentation guidelines.
• Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibilities and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Patient Satisfaction: Interact courteously with patients, families, and co-workers to promote a cooperative and patient-centered environment.
• Safety: Follow National Patient Safety Goals, ensuring safe patient identification and transfer techniques.
• Unit Specific Job Function: Provide individualized care based on surgical conditions, procedures, and anesthesia types.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care and adapt to changing needs throughout the surgical process.
• Patient Education: Assess patient understanding of procedures, providing preoperative and postoperative education.
• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Evaluate incoming Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and omissions.

Qualifications:

• Current RN License required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.

Guaranteed Hours:

36.00 hours per week

Contract Duration:

89 weeks
