Registered Nurse - Critical Care

Shift Details

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 (Every Other Weekend Required, Holidays as Needed)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
• Document care according to standards and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
• Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of recent Critical Care experience required.
• Experience in caring for neurosurgical patients, vent management, and EVD highly preferred.

Education

• Required: ASN
• Preferred: BSN

Certifications & Licensure

• Required: BLS-AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, ACLS-AHA, Telemetry, NIHSS, CEU Contact Stroke (4 hours).
• Preferred: N/A
