Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The nurse will identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
- Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
- Document care based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery with couplet experience.
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- Current BLS certification.
- AHANIHSS certification.
