Job Description: Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team for a Night 3x12-Hour shift from 19:00 to 07:30. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of nursing experience and must possess the required certifications for this critical role in our obstetrical unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain central lines and administer/manage medications.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and recover C-sections.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients.
• Provide compassionate patient care to adults in a 12-bed unit.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.

Required Qualifications

• Active NJ License or Compact License.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications.
• Experience in scrubbing for surgeries is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in labor and delivery preferred.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 12
• Daily Patient Census: Approximately 5
• Patient Ratio: 2:1
• Free parking available for staff.

Scheduling Information

• Night 3x12-Hour shifts; every third weekend required.
• Holiday policy: Work 2 of the 3 winter holidays; 1:2 ratios.
• No block scheduling available.
