Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Night Shift

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a night shift position. This role offers the flexibility of either 36 or 48-hour weekly options in a 25-bed ER setting, with the requirement to work every other weekend.

Shift Details

• Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:30 - 07:30)
• Clinical Provider: ED provider available 24/7, midlevel provider daily from 10a-8p/10p

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years as an ER RN is preferred, travel experience required.
• Charting System: Experience with EPIC is required.
• Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, CPI*, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications are necessary.
• Charge Experience: Previous charge experience is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Abdominal pain management
• Acute psychosis management
• Intubation and airway management
• Central line care/management
• Chest tube insertion/management
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Triage and patient assessment
• Emergency medications administration
• Trauma care including Level I and Level II trauma experience
• Experience with various patient population including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatric care

Unit Details

• Daily Census: 55 patients
• Patient Ratios: 6 patients per nurse on nights and weekends
• Support Staff: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, and more

Additional Information

Pre-approved time off and 60 orientation hours will be provided upon hire.
