JOB DESCRIPTION:
Registered Nurse
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit / Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown setting, utilizing the nursing process.
- Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while documenting actions and responses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols.
- Ensure patient and family education needs are met for admission and discharge.
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to LPNs and non-licensed staff.
Required Qualifications:
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from accredited organizations.
- Successful completion of a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) exam.
- Minimum of 2 years current experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
- Experience with fast-paced environments and team collaboration.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Epic EMR experience.
- Prior travel nursing assignment of at least 13 weeks.
