American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with a NM or compact license and at least two years of recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a general medical-surgical unit of a hospital setting
- Direct patient care is provided to a diverse adult patient population
- Shifts are 12-hour days, three days per week
- Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
- Uses Epic EMR, onsite training available
- Med-surg RNs will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document individualized patient care
- Responsible for medication administration and collaboration with the healthcare team
- Expected to supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed
- Must complete unit-specific education and competency testing
- Return policy requires a one-year wait for previous permanent staff to be considered as travelers
- No local candidates allowed; candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
- Active New Mexico or compact RN license required
- BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
- At least two years of current Med-Surg RN experience required
- Must have completed at least one previous 13-week travel assignment
- Epic charting experience preferred but not required
