Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a day shift position with float requirements and ACLS/BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in an ICU setting within a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (6:00 to 18:00)
- Rotating weekends are required
- Floating to Medical-Surgical unit required if ICU assignments are not available
- Uses Epic EMR, experience preferred
- Steel gray scrubs required
- Unit welcomes first time travelers
- Some modules and orientation will be completed onsite and tracked via transcripts
- Maximum of 3 days of requested time off will be auto approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
- No travel pairs or groups are accepted
Requirements
- Active NM or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 1 year ICU nursing experience required
- EPIC charting experience preferred
- Locals within 50 miles are not eligible
- Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
