Position Summary:
A facility in Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Travel RN for their PACU. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years PACU or perioperative nursing experience, with the ability to manage post-anesthesia patients safely and efficiently while collaborating with surgical and nursing teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia, identifying complications or adverse reactions

• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders

• Perform handoffs and document patient care accurately in Epic

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure safe patient care

• Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years PACU experience

• Epic experience required

• ACLS and BLS certification required

• Ability to work every other weekend and rotating holidays

• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical judgment skills
