Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring EPIC experience and AHA or RQI certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) as part of the critical care float pool
- Position involves night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- No blocked scheduling is allowed
- Call outs exceeding three in a 13-week period require make-up shifts within six weeks
- Epic EMR experience is required for all candidates
- Competency testing for ICU must be completed with up to two attempts permitted
- RTO must be requested with application
- Responsibilities include providing specialized cardiovascular critical care as part of a float pool
- More than three call outs in a 13-week period can result in contract termination if make-up shifts are not completed
- Only one position submission is allowed per traveler
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- At least 2 years of recent CVICU experience required
- Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- EPIC EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- U.S. Social Security Number required
- Flu vaccine required, with only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional accepted
- Candidates living within Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties are not eligible
- Travel pairs are not allowed
