Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Inpatient Surgery Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in a fast-paced medical and surgical unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to a broad range of patients, predominantly post-operative individuals with varying surgical backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Administer frequent pain medications and IV treatments as per patient's needs.
- Manage wound vacs and perform dressing changes as required.
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring chest tubes and JP drains.
- Monitor vital signs, intake, and output, while conducting thorough shift assessments.
- Assist with TPN and CAPD as directed.
- Document patient care within the EPIC patient care management system.
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in a Med/Surg setting, particularly with post-operative patients.
- Familiarity with MASIMO monitoring and bedside systems is preferred.
