Schedule / ShiftNight shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend required.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing a wide range of cases, including both adult and pediatric patients, and requires strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a variety of emergency situations.
Responsibilities- Perform triage and manage patient care in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department.
- Coordinate care for patients experiencing multisystem organ dysfunction or failure.
- Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors as required.
- Conduct 12 lead EKGs and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
- Manage central lines and arterial lines, along with blood product administration.
- Utilize advanced skills such as intubation, chest tube management, and procedural sedation.
- Assess and manage mental health conditions, including acute psychosis and suicidal patients.
- Provide care for orthopedic and trauma cases, as well as respiratory interventions including CPAP/BiPAP.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting.
- Current New York State RN license is required.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
