Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our fully functional 24/7 in-house respiratory therapy department. The therapist will provide essential support in various care areas, including a 6-bed ICU, emergency room, medical/surgical units, pediatrics, and low volume newborn stabilization. The role requires direct patient care primarily for the adult population while being comfortable and capable of caring for newborns and pediatric patients as needed.
Responsibilities- Ensure proficiency in delivering respiratory therapy care to patients across all ages.
- Manage routine medication delivery through both invasive and non-invasive ventilator management.
- Provide care to patients diagnosed with COVID-19 as required.
- Occasionally perform EKGs after hours in support of the Cardiology Department.
- Adapt to changing care climates and work independently when required.
- Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience.
- Licensure: Current New York State Respiratory Therapy license required prior to submission.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP.
- Experience with Epic charting system is required.
- Travel experience is a plus; first time travelers are accepted.
- Must be able to float between units as necessary.
