Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging through CT scans while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires a commitment to adhere to procedural policies and effective communication with medical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans.
Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging effectively.
Prepare patients for scans by explaining the procedure and providing comfort.
Insert IVs when necessary for testing.
Position patients appropriately, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records within EPIC, ensuring images are sent to PACS correctly.
Ensure a clean and safe scanning facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
New York State licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
Two (2) years of experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Experience with Siemens and Philips equipment is preferred.
