ScheduleNight 3x12-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:30), willing to rotate between acute and LTC care with every other weekend required.
Job DescriptionThe Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide care for patients with various diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections. The position requires an understanding of special procedures and the ability to manage advanced respiratory equipment.
Responsibilities- Administer assessments and treatments to patients.
- Manage ventilator settings and provide care for patients with complex respiratory needs.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.
- Perform ABG sampling, nebulizer treatments, and other pulmonary hygiene procedures.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory care.
- One year of experience in adult critical care and emergency department.
- Current BLS and RRT certifications required.
- Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic.
- New York state license required in hand to submit.
- Travel experience is preferred.
