Complex Care Unit RN - 3x12 Hour Shift

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in a Complex Care Unit to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires expertise in managing a variety of patient diagnoses, including complex long-term patients, orthopedics overflow, and medical cases.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients with telemetry, including interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
- Administer medications and blood products; manage feeding tubes, central lines, and IVs.
- Provide care for patients with pacemakers and those requiring tracheostomy management.
- Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams when necessary and administer minor procedures as needed.
- Implement isolation precautions and perform wound care, including using wound vacs.
- Supervise nursing staff and demonstrate charge nurse experience on the unit.
- New York RN license in hand - no exceptions.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a MedSurg or similar setting.
- Previous charge experience required.
- Familiarity with the Epic charting system is essential.
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
- Float capability required across units as necessary.
