Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of nursing experience in an emergency department setting and must hold current certifications. This position is critical in providing high-quality care to patients with varying acuity levels.

• Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
• Float Requirement: Yes, when census warrants

• Provide quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department.
• Monitor and assess patients, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as required.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including continuous IV paralytics and sedation.
• Conduct procedural sedation administrations and manage emergency medications.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams for optimal patient care.

• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Strong skills in managing patients with dysrhythmias and emergency situations.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Must be able to float within the unit as required.

The Emergency Department serves a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Average daily census is approximately 64 patients with around 145 visits per day.
