Main OR Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Main Operating Room team. This role involves providing care for a diverse range of patients undergoing various surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment.

• Schedule: D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedules
• Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will:

• Administer moderate sedation to patients in the OR.
• Provide high-quality nursing care for a variety of surgical specialties including:
• Orthopedics
• General Surgery
• Plastics
• Urology
• Cardiac
• Neuro
• Vascular
• Ophthalmic
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT)
• Thoracic
• Oral-Maxillofacial
• Trauma (Level 1 Trauma Center)
• Utilize advanced surgical equipment, including two Davinci robots for various procedures.
• Assist in the transplant program involving liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

• RN License: Must possess a valid New York RN License.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of OR experience, preferably in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Moderate Sedation Experience: Required.
• IR Experience: Required.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgical and clinical teams.

This position offers guaranteed hours with a contract of 89 weeks.
